A VERY Blessed Day!
Workout: 13M along the Town Trail

I ran toward the gorgeous sunrise.
The sun looked like a red ball of fire

My amazingly awesome day began with an adventurous run along streams, across bridges, and through tunnels; on dirt, rocks, and pavement; and in the redwoods, parks, and town. My pace was actually speeding up to 6 min pace and I didn’t even realize it; I was just having fun. I heard a coyote when I was running.
Right after my run, I hurried over to the Village Plaza for a free Saturday yoga session. Around 30 people attended. It was very relaxing to take deep breaths, stretch, and concentrate within. I also noticed that my leg muscles are very tight, even though I stretch and use a foam roller almost every day. But, I’ve never been flexible which is why I stopped taking ballet lessons after 10 years, at the age of 14.

Waiting for the trolley in the storm |
Later, I went back to the Village Plaza on the trolley. There was a thunderstorm with lightning overhead as I waited for the trolley under a redwood tree. I ended up waiting half an hour because the trolley driver didn’t see me behind the tree the first time he passed by, but I was actually content reading a book.
At the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, the weigh machine wasn’t working and displayed 22 cents for my chocolate, when it should have cost more, so the friendly cashier just gave it to me for 22 cents!
At Starbucks, I was drawing a picture when the barista came up to me and asked “Would you like anything to eat or drink? It’s on the house.” I politely declined the offer. But, he insisted and I got my favorite egg spinach wrap and he made me a special iced tea with different fruit flavors without the added sugar. It was delicious! When I finished drawing the picture, I decided to give it to him and I wrote a Thank You message on the back. It is always nice to meet people who are generous and kind to others.
Then, the nice trolley driver took me all the way to my street, even though there were others on the trolley, so I didn’t have to walk far at all! I arrived at the house in perfect timing when everyone was eating dinner, so they pulled up a chair for me and served me kale soup with olive cheese bread, and grapes and pear on the side. It was delicious! Also, Mr. R (the owner of the house) told me about a 5K race in town next Saturday and got me a free entry! My day felt so special, I almost don’t want it to end. I don’t believe it was luck, I believe it was a blessing from God. Sometimes I feel His presence over me, like when I was standing under the redwood tree reading a book in the thunderstorm. I was completely calm and at peace, even though my life was in danger. I am not sure why God has blessed me in so many ways, but I do believe that He has a wonderful plan for my life and I am humbled by His love and grace.
